ADULT EDUCATION IN AMERICA

In the earlier blog I have stated that 96% of Americans are educated- studied up to 12Th standard.

To those who could not continue their studies further and are under compulsion to work- they are provided with opportunities to study and complete their education under ABC-Adult Education programmes. Classes are conducted to suit the timings of the elders and Office Goers.

Under this programme various degree courses are offered- Food preparation, Cake manufacturing, Beauty Parlor, Knitting of Sweater, Hand craft, Sanitary and health related subjects, Yoga, Fine Arts, Painting, Dance, English speaking and writing etc.

I visited one such center at California and was very much impressed by the manner the courses are designed and conducted.

Any one who has completed the junior and senior School level can continue his studies further and get degree in any subject below:
