PITCHU SASTHIRGAL – THE ASTROLOGER

(Whenever we are in trouble we rush to Astrologer to know what sort of future we have to face. Astrology has become part of our life. Ptolemy system written in Greek reached India around 500 AD - it was adopted after combining with local customs as the backbone of faith. Though Scientist will dismiss Astrology – yet even Western World believe in it. No wonder then People like Pitchu Sasthrigal left his traditional job and involved in Astrology)


It was around 1964 I went to Pitchu Sasthrigal at Bangalore to consult him regarding my father-in-law’s health. After seeing the horoscope of his elder son Sasthri told us that the end is approaching and advised us to perform Mrithyunja Jabam – but the chances are dim. After few days my father-in-law died.

There were few more incidents like this which made me to approach often Pitchu
Sasthrigal and his predictions came true. To quote one such incident- I left my job in anger without alternative job on hand. Very much worried I rushed to Sasthri. After studying my horoscope deeply he told me that within a week I am getting a job which proved correct.

In his room he kept Almanacs as old as 75 years. You go to him for writing child
horoscope or your past, present and future or matching horoscopes for marriage- you
name it – he would sincerely work on it and keep ready the same. His job did not stop with it; he would offer suitable remedy, which in most cases helped to ward off the crises. You have to wait an hour or so for him to attend your work. Always I used to see 4 or 5 people sitting to place their problems and hear from him the position.

Originally Christianity and Islam rejected Planetary influence as offensive to God’s
omnipotence. But modern Astrology reborn again. USA is investing lavishly in Astrology. President Ronald Reagan became a regular client of Hollywood Astrologer-
John Quigley. Moor’s Almanac sold 4,00,000 copies in 1803. France produced 200 Authors on Astrology between 1850 to 1943. Germany was devoted to Astrology during 1930s.

India’s independence struck at midnight- an auspicious time fixed for power transfer.
In this troubled world, emotionally charged people need some strength to bear the
pressure and reduce the same. If we know the future to a certain extent- we can read just our life according to it or well prepared to face the same. Here Astrology comes into picture. Astrologers used to say that if predictions are to be correct you must know the exact time of your birth. The planetary positions will change if we cannot give the date of birth correctly.

Pitchu Sasthrigal used to devote long hours to calculate the correct time and date of birth. Once he is satisfied then only he will write the horoscope and predictions. I have seenmany Politicians visiting him, many renowned persons approaching to perform
Navagraha Poojas etc. There is an exclusive magazine devoted to Astrology- Astrological Magazine of India coming from Bangalore edited by B.V.Raman – renowned Astrologer which is very popular all over the world.

Prof. NR Tiruvenkatacharya- Scientific Astrologer says: Life is no accident in space. It is ordered by laws. So we can plan to meet events by an appreciation of these laws. God gifts man with intelligence, the power of activity and capacity to enjoy the fruits of action. Mutable signs endow the persons born under their domination with gift ofintelligence. The cardinal signs confer on him the ability to act. Fixed signs are the sources of man’s capacity to reap the fruits of his past Karma.

Astrology is a field still not exploited properly. Opportunities exists for educated people in this line provided you get experienced and read hundreds of horoscopes and their past and present positions and be sincere and honest in your approach. Pitchu Sasthrigal was one such person whom many people approached because his predictions were close to happenings in life.

Analysis:

Astrology is a technology, which made the facts of life inspiring, mysterious and
practically useful. The movements of planets and their effects in one’s life create
astonishing effects. For instance the Saturn’s effect in every stage of one’s life can be felt so also the star of wealth. Human tendency is such that if they cannot decide, they turnedto something completely outside their normal lives and in many cases to Astrology.
